Here are the key details about the course:
ONLINE DELIVERY BY THE TUTORS.
Our course is delivered online by the tutors in real time - so it is the same as attending a classroom course - complete with ongoing tutorial support - so that you are not left on your own to read through course materials online.
The course is delivered online in real time by the tutors over 9 Saturdays and is made up of the following modules:
FM 4.01 Overview of Facilities Management
FM 4.05 Managing health and safety in own area of facilities management
FM 4.10 Understanding leadership and management in facilities management
FM 4.12 Understanding facilities management projects.
All of the modules need to be completed to gain the Facilities Management Certificate.
COURSE LEVEL.
The Certificate is an Ofqual-regulated qualification at Level 4 UK, which is comparable to Level 6 on the Irish National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ). (Ofqual is the UK Government's regulatory body, similar to QQI in Ireland).
NO EXAMS !
Participants complete a practical, written assignment for each module.

TUTORIAL SUPPORT IS ONGOING.
We are on hand to provide guidance with all aspects of your course. This starts with course induction to reinforce that this is the right course with the right units for you, continuing with our ongoing expert tutor support all the way through until you finish your course.
Our VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) is simple and intuitive to use, and includes full instructions.
However, if you do need assistance, our friendly and knowledgeable technical and customer support are on hand to help you.
FEES INCLUDE TUITION, VLE ACCESS, TUTORIAL SUPPORT AND IWFM FEES.
You get everything in the fees – and you do not need to buy any extra books or materials.
ENTRY IS OPEN.
You can take up a place on this course if you have a Level 5 (NFQ) qualification or equivalent.
However, if you have some experience in facilities management or can gain that experience during the course you do NOT need any prior qualification to join.

ABOUT BARONY.
Founded in 1993 Barony Consulting Group works with a wide range of individuals and organisations in delivering training and consultancy in leadership, management and thought leadership. Through our affiliates around the world, including Barony Training, we deliver our own bespoke courses as well as Ofqual-regulated qualifications in partnership with various academic partners in areas such as facilities management, corporate governance and enterprise development.
Barony Training is based in Kilkenny and the course director, Dr Eddie Collins-Hughes has been delivering facilities management and leadership courses from Certificate to PostGraduate level for nearly 15 years.
BOOKING YOUR PLACE ON THE COURSE.
Each Saturday runs from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm with a break from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm and a short break at 11:00 am.
There are 9 Saturdays in total - one per month (excluding August).
We try to record the classes so that is you ever miss one you can view the recording afterwards in your own time.
We are taking bookings at present, and there are some places available.
